Home Assistant: a solid start

Remote implementation on approved hardware. Planning included; equipment purchased separately. Visits quoted separately.
- Up to five devices across two integrations, three agreed simple routines and a basic dashboard.
- Backup setup, guided handover and one follow-up review.
- Example: scene button, night-time lighting and a laundry alert, subject to device compatibility.
- The basic dashboard can use a suitable tablet or phone you already own; compatibility is checked first.
Home Assistant: a connected home

€649 remote or €769 with one installation visit of up to two hours in Dublin City. Planning included.
- Up to ten devices across four integrations, five agreed routines and a dashboard organised by room.
- Installation or expansion of a suitable HA setup, backups, guided handover and one follow-up review.
- Example: presence and time-based lighting, a manual override and useful household alerts.
- Two or three bedrooms? Scope follows devices, integrations and agreed outcomes, not the bedroom count.
- A room-based dashboard that can be adapted to a suitable existing tablet or phone.
That old tablet could become your home dashboard.
Lighting, scenes, temperature and device status in one place. A suitable tablet or phone can serve as a dedicated screen on a stand, without buying a new display just for this. Reusing your device depends on its condition, software compatibility and performance. A stand, power accessories, wall mounting or additional kiosk setup are agreed separately when needed.
A bigger project? From €950, scoped in stages.
For new homes, renovations or more tailored Home Assistant routines, we agree a complete quote: planning, implementation, required visits and equipment budget shown separately. Start with your priorities and expand later.

Visits are available for device installation and pairing, sensor positioning, in-home testing or troubleshooting. You may also choose an on-site appointment when you prefer it. Outside Dublin City, remote service only.
Travel within Dublin City is included in the listed on-site prices. We confirm your area and appointment availability before booking. Any necessary paid parking is disclosed in the quote. No mileage fee is added afterwards.
Returns and revisions.
Project quotes state the number and duration of included visits. Further visits or new requests are priced before you approve them. Configuration completed on site counts towards your project delivery; it is not charged twice. A return needed to correct an error in the agreed work is not billed as a new visit.
KNOW THE TOTALEquipment, third-party subscriptions and electrical work are separate. Compatibility and access are checked first.
DIFFERENT QUOTEExisting installations needing repair or complex custom logic may require a different quote. A follow-up review checks the agreed delivery; new features are quoted separately.
PAID ASSESSMENTIf a paid technical assessment is needed, its price and credit towards implementation are agreed upfront.

Before we get started.
Do I need Home Assistant?
No. We'll start with your goal and the apps and devices you already use. Some projects suit Smart Life/Tuya, Alexa or Google Home; others may benefit from Home Assistant. Compatibility is checked first.
Can everything be done remotely?
Some setup needs someone at home to connect, pair or position devices. You can do this with guidance, or book a visit in Dublin City. Visits are included only where stated in your quote. Remote access depends on the platform, device and your permission.
Will it work without the internet?
That depends on the devices and integrations. Some functions can run locally; others rely on cloud services and an internet connection. I won't promise offline operation for your whole home. We'll identify relevant dependencies for the work we agree.
Will you keep access to my home?
Only if we explicitly agree ongoing support. For one-off work, access is removed at handover. We'll agree the access needed before connecting. Please don't send passwords, camera footage or sensitive information in an enquiry.
What is outside the service?
Electrical installation, rewiring, emergency call-outs and guaranteed fault resolution are not included. Cameras, locks and safety-critical systems are outside the initial service. Physical electrical work needs an appropriately qualified professional.
How much does it cost?
Initial enquiries and the first written assessment are free; a short video call can be arranged by email when useful. Troubleshooting: €59 remote or €99 on site for up to one hour. First automations: €149 remote or €199 with one visit. HA packages: €349 remote, or €649 remote / €769 with one visit. Custom projects start at €950. Equipment is separate.
